Orange is launching « Orange Fab », an accelerator program for start-ups which aim to expand businesses to global market, in Seoul and Taipei in addition to currently ongoing season 1 program in Tokyo. The program is managed by Orange Labs Japan/Korea/Taiwan, R&D center of Orange, a global telecommunication company headquartered in France. Orange Fab aims to help early-stage start-ups with products and service that benefit Orange and its customers. Currently the 8 selected start-ups for the season 1 in Tokyo are preparing for the Demo Day held in Tokyo in May and in Paris in June. In Seoul and Taipei, applications will be opened in the middle of May followed by the program launch in September in parallel with the season 2 in Tokyo. 5 – 6 start-ups will be selected to be part of the three-month program in Seoul and Taipei respectively as well as in the season 2 in Tokyo. Start-ups joining the program will have access to mentoring sessions held regularly in each city from entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and professionals from Asia, US and Europe. They will also be advised by experts with international background in Orange and have opportunities for discussion toward partnership with Orange employees located in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. To join Orange Fab, start-ups must present an existing product, be in advanced beta phase or have already launched. Orange Fab will have information sessions in Seoul in mid-May, in Taipei in mid-June, and in Tokyo in late May to mid-June. Please refer to the web site for detailed information.
