Masahiko is Co-founder and General Partner of Incubate Fund, where he focuses on mobile, gaming, and internet media startups.
His most recent successes have been Pokelabo and Gumi, two of Japan’s leading mobile gaming companies. They have both grown from just 2 to 3 people at the time he invested in 2008, to over 240 and 600 employees respectively. Pokelabo, which Masahiko co-founded as the CEO, was acquired by GREE in 2012 for over 170M USD.
Masahiko has more than 15 years of experience in venture capital. Prior to Incubate Fund, he worked in a broad range of capacities investing at his own angel fund, Mitsubishi Corporation, Accenture, and JAFCO, Japan’s largest private equity firm. At Mitsubishi, he helped manage the investments in MonotaRO and Venture Republic from startup to IPO.
Masahiko graduated Keio University, with a degree in Commerce in 1998.
