1. Reuters partners with Japan’s Spectee (Season 2) for user generated content

Reuters has partnered with Spectee a Japanese company that curates newsworthy social media videos powered by AI as a part of its user generated content offering. Reuters other recent partners include the UK-based SWNS and the US-based ViralHog.

2. +Style starts to sell Scentee Machina (Season 3), AI aroma diffuser

+Style, a group company of Softbank which runs IoT showroom with future products that you have never seen, starts to sell Scentee Machina, AI enabled aroma diffuser allowing you to spray aroma you like by connecting with the smartphone app. Scentee Machina UNO has a bottle to spray nano level ultrafine particle. Scentee Machina Quattro could have 4 bottles at the same time, which automatically spray your favorite scent by time of day by the AI learning the past usage. (in Japanese)

3. SBI Sumishin Net Bank introduces LIQUID eKYC (Season 5), online KYC for account opening

LIQUID eKYC allows to complete KYC process online by sending photos of a face and ID verification documents with your smartphone. Since the service is provided with a browser, users do not need to download any apps and servicers can implement the service by only API linkage. SBI Sumishin Net Bank, an online bank owned by Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank and SBI Holdings, reduces time for opening account from 10 days to 1 day at earliest. (in Japanese)
