Orange Fab Asia held Spring 2015 season Demo Day in Tokyo and announced launch of Startup Exchange Program

Orange Fab Asia, 3-month startup accelerator program, held a Demo Day in Tokyo on July 1st.

Orange Fab Asia aims to help Asian startups from the region to go global with products and services that benefit Orange and its customers. The program is held in Tokyo, Seoul, and Taipei and managed by Orange Japan, an innovation center of Orange.

In addition to 15 startups in the Spring 2015 season of Orange Fab Asia from Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, 3 startups who won a prize at Orange Fab Asia Pitch Competition in Singapore held in May 29th, and 3 startups from Creative Economy & Innovation Center in Korea selected by KT, with which Orange has a partnership in startup acceleration, pitched and showcased their services to the audience from global industries and VCs.

The event was also supported by French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan and Business France (French government agency for export and investment). 3 startups recommended by the two organizations joined in the event for demonstration at booths.

In total, 24 startups below participated in the Demo Day.

As the new initiative from the next season, Orange Fab Asia announced to launch Startup Exchange Program with 2 accelerators overseas, NUMA in Paris and Infocomm Investment in Singapore. The program allows Orange Fab Asia startups including from the past seasons would have benefit to use the office space, to have mentoring from these accelerator programs, and to attend various events held in these accelerators. Alternatively, Orange Fab Asia will receive startups from the 2 accelerators in its Tokyo office to provide office space and mentoring.

Orange Fab Asia also announced to open calling for applications for Fall 2015 season’s program in Tokyo, Seoul, and Taipei. Information session for the program will be held on July 13th at Orange Japan office. Registration for the session is here.
